TimePlace is a San Francisco-based startup founded by former Microsoft and Silicon Valley technology veterans in early 2014. Led by CEO Ty Parker, the company set out to organize the world's information by time and place.
TimePlace launched at TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2014, debuting as a "Real World Browser" with a patent-pending time-slider search that lets users explore what's happening at any time and location. The platform has aggregated over 1 million events globally.
We started as a platform for discovering events and activities at a specific time and location. The core thesis: if you know where someone is and when they're there, you can connect them with exactly what they need.
That thesis has now expanded into two focused marketplaces. TimePlace Concerts connects musicians with hosts for intimate house concerts -- live music organized by time and place. TimePlace Services connects homeowners with vetted local professionals -- trusted help organized by time and place.
Same platform. Same principle. Real-world connections, organized intelligently.
